Train Rides - Next Ride Day Sunday May 2, 2010
Come experience the thrill of riding the rails - see, hear, and feel railroad history.  The New Hope Valley Railway at the North Carolina Railway Museum has ride days once a month from May to December, with activities, themes, and events for all ages to enjoy.  Contact us about charter group train rides, schedule operate-a-loco, or have a birthday party in a historic caboose.

 Special News and Events
 Site and grounds improvements are being made for 2010 to accommodate train passengers loading and unloading to our open air excursion cars safely in the infield and near displays such as the Southern RPO-baggage car or a historic caboose.
Train ride fare this year will be $10 for adults and $7 for kids 2-12.

Volunteer Opportunity - Track work
The NHV Railway wrapped up 2009 as another successful operating season sharing the history and experience of railroads in NC. But the winter and spring is when our volunteer crew work really gets busy - repairing equipment, replacing ties, and planning for the upcoming season.  We invite you to join us - become a member and help us preserve the equipment, artifacts, and teach the skills and traditions of railroading to future generations.
